We're all lowkey addicted Marvel Rivals, playing game after game, perhaps you win here and there and maybe get an MVP a few times. But what of the characters you play as? You ever wonder how they feel, fighting tirelessly, killing their own allies because they were told they were their enemies and dying time and time again. We never enter a game, expecting to see them eat food, take a shower, rest or sleep because all Marvel Rivals was ever meant for was for them to fight. Could you imagine being forced into such a merciless life without end?
Perhaps there is a means to an end. In this alternate universe, there are no players. Galacta is at the center of it all: She changes the maps however she pleases, creates clones of old allies, keeps a team of 6 heroes together just to send them off to battle them. Mantis was unfortunate enough to be put in this team. None of them could actually die, yet they still live on because Galacta refuses to let them. They were off to die yet again in another battle, until Mantis discovers quite a strange portal off to a place quite familiar. Perhaps off to a certain spaceship in a certain galaxy far away.

He's thrown into joining a group of criminals in hopes to ward off against those that might threaten to end the galaxy by their own selfish needs, unaware of the love he was about to revisit and obtain between a prince he once loved and a hired hitman/assassin who holds all the secrets on who Jace Taylor could truly be.
He'd always wanted to live among the stars and now he had the opportunity to live among them with people that he calls his family, people who Jace could trust to have his back even in situations that almost felt too unreal, he knew that life was about to get good. An Infinity Stone, a demon assassin, a living planet bringing a half-sister to their doorsteps, and the literal devil himself companied by a royally pissed off Emperor, this was going to be one hell of a ride.
