While initially dispising her, they find common ground as they become friends (And more?) as the story of the Dawnguard DLC plays out. This story does take some inspiration from the Serana Dialogue Addon mod.

Tallulah Moonstep never expected to be leading some of Skyrim's most famous (or infamous) guilds. Nor did she expect to team up with a vampire. She didn't expect to be a werewolf, not to mention the fact that half the Daedra want to kill her, and she's the Champion of the other half. Im not great at summeries but this is my try. A story that follows our very powerful Dragonborn, post-main quest, on her journey to defeat the vampire uprising but really to try and stop everyone from coming to her to ask her to fix every little problem. A journey finding love when least expected as well as starring some good old favourites like Harkon, the bloodthirsty vampire lord and Isran, the annoying leader himself who you always wanted to take down a peg or three. Come and enjoy the ride as skulls get cracked, vampires get roasted and Serana shakes her head in exasperation at the antics of our dragonborn.

When Serana of Clan Volkihar finally wakes, she expects to meet someone like her. However, for better or for worse, she meets Rydan - a vampire slayer working for the Dawnguard - with a burning hatred for vampires. Bitter enemies at first, this unlikely duo from two entirely different worlds realize that their goals are aligned and form an uneasy truce.
As time progresses, however, Serana realizes that the man who awakened her has a destiny greater than that of a vampire hunter's and a past that might even be darker than hers.
