The next time The Hero’s consciousness begins to stir, they find their body engulfed in a comforting warmth.
All the muscles in their body feel as if they weigh a hundred pounds and their eyelids feel like they've been glued together.
A light groan passes their lips as they try, and fail, to move their limbs.
Their head is filled by a deep rooted, pounding headache. Trickles of memories drip into the cracks of their mind, further fuelling the ache planted deep within their temples.

Summary
The lights turned Scarlet as a mechanical whirr echoed across the room followed by a sickening wet crunch. Every nerve in Ranboo’s head felt like it had been lit aflame as the spikes penetrated their skull. Crimson liquid flowed from the bottom of the box soaking into their jacket staining the grey with streaks of dark reddish-brown. Their arms instinctually began to twitch before slumping forward. The lights in the room dimmed to black as the cameras turned off, waiting until it's time for the next show.

It was sickening to watch them unlearn everything he’d taught them, yet the way The Patient and The Taken treated The Hero still set something warm in Hetch’s chest. The Hero’s hands had stopped shaking and they stood taller somehow. The bags under their eyes had melted down their cheeks along with tears that gleamed in the ring lights, and Hetch’s couldn’t help but think it suited them to look so strong.”
