Technoblade was having the time of his life. The lights were dim, the walls, ceilings, and floors were a uniform steely gray, and he was forced to beat the pulp out of aliens every little while on a completely unpredictable schedule. He hadn’t eaten enough in far too long, his circadian rhythm was totally wrecked, and he was riding the wake of a killer headache.
On the whole, though, not as bad as it could have been.Philza of the Perfodio-Creo flock was kidnapped by Sky, a Mimid who runs a coliseum where people watch sapient creatures fight each other for sport. Philza happens to have an entire crew of dubiously sane privateers eagerly trying to get him back. If they happen to pick up a stray deathworlder in the process, well, in Philza's defense, Techno flock-bonded with him first.

Dream loved to dance. He was well versed in the art and enjoyed participating in it at every given opportunity, meaning this ball was perfect for him. The home band played an assortment of song styles, causing different couples to take to the dance floor at each one. Dream had spent nearly the whole night out on the floor with partners he had only known for a moment. When he wasn't dancing (and even sometime when he was), Dream found himself unable to take his eyes of a pink-haired man that seemed to just glide across the ballroom floor.
What he wouldn't give to share just one dance with the allusive man.

Techno slammed his fists against the transparent wall of his prison, trying his best to break it down. His captors backed up, whistling anxiously to each other.
He gave the barrier another loud crack, delightedly watching as they scrambled away in abject terror.
Nodding in satisfaction, he turned around to meet the eyes of two other prisoners that had been thrown into his cell.
He froze.
Right.
There were now aliens in his cell.
And he probably just scared the hell out of them.
Or: Humans are a dangerous race feared by all on an intergalactic scale. Techno, a human ex-soldier that was abducted by aliens 18 months ago, is biding his time in captivity.
This changes when two young aliens are sent into his cell to die.

And Techno might not know anything about this poor, hurt Elytrian, but he is certain of one thing: he has to help him.
