This is the first part of a Breath of the Wild novelization. It is a narrative of the events leading up to the Great Calamity primarily told from Zelda's point of view using the memories found in game. Age of Calamity is taken into consideration but nothing from that game is really used in this story (no egg guardian). Story will stray from canon towards the end.
This work is a rewrite as my writing style has changed and improved and I wanted to show that improvement before moving onto the sequel.
