“No, but isn't this better?” Trying to steer his mind away from the weird moment of clarity he seemed to be having, Jinshi ran his right index finger down the middle of her back.
She shuddered deliciously, but regained her composure and glared at him. It sent shivers down his spine.
“I don't usually have fantastical dreams.” She murmured, leaning away from him but not leaving his lap. “Much less lucid ones.”
“Well, probably because it's supposed to be my dream.” He grumbled, put out that his pleasant wet dream was going down the drain.
Due to a strange pair of incense burners, Jinshi and Maomao meet inside of shared dreams. It takes them a while to realize that.

“Remember after Mount Muxi?”
“No.” Wei Wuxian’s eyes dart to Lan Zhan, who is paying close attention to his husband. Again, something in the way he looks at Almost Definitely Future Wei Wuxian turns Present Wei Wuxian’s stomach.
“You thought Lan Zhan liked Mianmian and—”
“Stop!” Wei Wuxian begs, panicking.
“—you thought about the two of them together.”
Lan Zhan’s eyebrows raise minutely.
Wei Wuxian is now fully convinced that this really is his future self.
“SHUT UP!” he shouts, his face flushing red.
“It upset you,” Future Wei Wuxian continues. “But you nearly strangled your poor dick to death fantasizing about the two of them having sex! Tell me…which one of them were you really focusing on?”
This gives Wei Wuxian pause. He never…really gave it much thought. He replays some of the highlights and blanches when he realizes that he doesn’t even remember what Mianmian looks like.
But he remembers the way Lan Zhan’s back muscles flexed, sweat clinging to his skin. The way Lan Zhan’s face might look while he was—Wangxian fuck the Yiliing Laozu.

A Minor character. Jinzhu, one of Madam Yu's disciples/maids. In this "Not everyone dies" AU fic, she lives along with her "twin sister" Yinzhu. She also becomes Jiang Cheng's Wife.In this, Wei Wuxian gives them the Incense Burner that him and Lan Zhan have enjoyed. With only minor context, Jiang Cheng and Jinzhu fall into the dream world. He is fully aware, where she is not, as per usual Incense Burner rules (that I gathered anyway). It lands them during the Sunshot Campaign, in some unknown place between battles. Jiang Cheng gets to her first, only for his younger self, Wanyin, to catch them in the act, and then join them.

Wei Ying hissed, wincing a little as he was dropped unceremoniously onto the ground, Lan disciples he didn’t know the name of letting him go.
They bowed towards Lan Wangji, who was standing in front of him, before leaving the room.
He rubbed at his back before looking up, still sprawled out on the floor. “Uh.. Lan Zhan? Where are we?” He’s never seen this room before.
“Wei Ying. You were brought here to face punishment.”
The ‘guilty’ party tilted his head, “For what?” He grinned, “Is this about that time I showed you that, Lan-er-Gege?”
Wei Ying batted his eyes, “I didn’t know you were so inexperienced in those matters, or I swear I would’ve been more gentle about it!” He snickered a little at how it sounded without context.
“Promiscuity is prohibited.” Lan Zhan stated.
He frowned in confusion, “Huh? Is that what this’ about?”
