The persistent cold is accompanied by the crying of a beast, lying within the icy atmosphere and squirming in discomfort. A teal-haired girl sits by the creature’s side, having given up on her attempts to console it. She places a tentative hand over her throat—every time she made the effort to speak or sing, nothing would emerge, only a pitiful silence in its place.
She lifts her head, staring at the land before her covered and coated in a misty fog. Barely anything is visible beyond the barrier the fog creates, a reminder of their circumstances—the creature and the girl both.
She leans her head against the creature, closing her eyes in a silent plea for assistance.

The speakers crackle, and their song changes abruptly. It’s not one Shiho’s familiar with, and definitely not one of Leo/need’s – not just in the melody, but in the method. Messy is likely the word she would use to describe it; the rhythm stumbles over itself at times, while notes slur into each other. Amateurish, it lacks precision, the finer details of play.
Something nags at the back of her mind and before she knows it, Shiho has pulled out her own bass.
Shiho gives some advice.

"just relax. the reason why you were so troubled earlier before i found you and took you here… was because you wanted to forget about ichika-chan and the others, didn't you?" iori continued shifting her hand higher, slightly pulling shiho's shorts up in the process. her other hand reached for the bassist’s cheek, grazing her fingertips in a gentle, teasing caress. “let me help you with that.”
