He still leaves the lab after waking up but that’s because he’s still confused about everything and doesn’t understand yet what the arcane wants from him. Everything that happens after that (except Viktor becoming a cult leader) up until the point when Jayce comes back from the apocalyptic future, happens.

Then picking up in 2024, ten long years ago after NSYNC broke up, the band is thrust into the spotlight once more when the hit movie Deadpool And Wolverine uses the classic NSYNC song Bye Bye Bye.

Maddie gets dumped by Caitlyn and in a drunken haze reaches out to Jinx, who offers “dates” (+ more) for money. Caitlyn has confusing feelings and is rejected by Vi who has a girlfriend. Jinx very quickly catches feelings for Maddie while Caitlyn is also trying to get back together with Maddie. Shenanigans ensue.
Shout out to the Carrotbomb discord I’m in that helped come up with HC’s and ideas for this fic! It’s a mix of all of our thoughts on the characters and then a plot line I rlly wanted to do and write :)

Summary
After a threat made by a fearsome opposing kingdom, Noxus, is directed at the crown princess of Zaun, King Silco decrees that he will choose a worthy knight to protect his precious daughter from harm.

Jayce has already decided what he's going to do. He doesn't know how he's going to do it, but these kids need someone to look after them. Someone who understands how their minds work, who can guide them towards maybe the only chance they have at a future. Perhaps this is how they start working on Viktor's dream of helping the Undercity. And if it's important to Viktor, then it is important to Jayce.
He steps forward and the motion is noticed by all the Council. Marcus scowls, but says nothing. Powder looks back over her shoulder as Jayce approaches, stands behind her, and places his hands on her shoulders. She stiffens, so he keeps the contact light so she does not feel trapped.
"Viktor and I will take in Powder and Ekko," Jayce announces.
