Gersham’s Note: 128 personal years after Lavinia finished her missions in the MCU she has cut herself off from her duties as a mentor. Her depressive episodes have come back and she’s developed new habits that are worrying. I know she misses Sargent Barnes but how long does a person need to mourn before they can move on? Lavinia’s door has given her a Mimikyu which I find to be little more than a pest. And it seems that her door is not done giving her companions because she has aquired a Witcher by the name of Geralt. If this was a human being I would say, with confidence, that they seem to be in over their head and are desperately grasping at straws at this point. But we don’t argue with the doors, that’s rule one but I sure hope that it knows what it’s doing.
This case study was originally intended to prove without a doubt why no one should be made immortal at the Citadel. I pray I’ve made the case plain and well.

Something in their mutations was different than it had been in Vesemir’s day. The typically long-lived Witchers had lived… well, for a long time. The year is 2020, and a lot has changed in Geralt’s eight centuries. The air is different, the world around him looks different, and the people are pretty different, too. And… there are so many more of them. Some of them are people who have been dear to him for centuries. Some of those he holds dear have been dead for centuries. Aside from the people, one of the most difficult changes has been the gradual but steady decline of Chaos in the world — a decline to nearly nothing at all. Right?
A story in which we explore the consequences of and reasons for Geralt being alive in a modern world that no longer has magic. What remains of Chaos is strictly controlled by the ALR (Abnormal Life-form Response), and all "Abnormals" are closely monitored. When Chaos makes a sudden resurgence, Geralt must navigate his personal failures to reunite with Eskel. The history of the characters and the Continent is canon-compliant to the books up until their end in 1268, at which point a history of my own creation begins.

“Problem?” Geralt asked. His voice had deepened, and Jaskier leaned closer at the sound like he wanted to get more of it. It sent strange shivers through Geralt, mixing with the potion coursing through his veins in an even more intoxicating fashion.
“Oh, not at all,” Jaskier purred.
It’s just another routine closer look at a shady corporation – if it weren’t for Yen being cagey, her new boytoy being too present, and Geralt’s body working against him.

“Am I too late?” the deep voice of a stranger interrupted Yennefer’s plea.
“What is it with men interrupting me today?” she wondered out loud, looking up annoyingly at the drenched man that had just entered the courtroom. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed Jaskier mouth what she interpreted as a ‘finally’.
“Too late for what?” the judge asked.
“I found new evidence,” the intruder held up a usb-drive and a briefcase, raindrops falling off his outstretched arm, creating a puddle of water around him.
“And who might you be?” the judge asked again.
“Geralt de Rivia, private detective,” the man answered.When prosecutor Yennefer Van Vengerberg meets private detective Geralt de Rivia in court, she has no idea her life is about to get turned around. All of a sudden he is everywhere and she can't help herself from being drawn to him.
As troubled as her private life may be, with her marriage to Istredd slowly falling apart, work goes on and her next case might be even more life-changing than her first meeting with Geralt.

Following right after the end of Season 2, Geralt and the gang head out to decide what to do next, and how to keep Ciri safe from those hunting her. The Witcher allows Yennefer, despite being on thin ice to travel with them in an attempt to teach Ciri to control her Chaos.
Jaskier is confronted with his feelings for Geralt along the way, being around the Witcher just dredges up old feelings he had tried to bottle away with ink and pen. Convinced however, that when the time comes Geralt will certainly choose Yennefer over him.
He always has.But maybe, they can all get along for a minute, and maybe all of them can learn a thing or two about family.
I'm really bad at summaries, enjoy my desire for Ciri to have two dads that eventually re fall in love. With Yennefer along for the ride as she also learns about family.

She has always been someone who can hold her emotions in balance, so she surprises herself when she pounds her hands so hard on the table that their water glasses rattle precariously. As dirty as politics and elections can get, nothing in her political career has compared to the filthy carpetbagger now pouring money into producing slick, untruthful, and downright cruel attack ads against her. The ads are not simply against her or her politics, but include her character, background, and worst of all her family. Each one of these is more salacious and false than the last, except frankly for the thinly veiled reference to her being a bitch. That one is spot on and this bitch is going to cut Robert Stregobor, the asshole hedge fund manager running against her, down to size.
***Yennefer is a first term senator who is up for reelection in a tight race. But when her opponent tries to use compromising photos of her ex-husband Geralt to get ahead, help comes from the most unlikely place: Geralt’s pop star boyfriend, and her long term frenemy, Jaskier.
