After the fight in episode 6 Pomni starts to really close herself off. While she didn't exactly believe Jax when he said they were never friends it still hurts, a lot. when she starts to notice a glitch on her arm here and there it only causes her to lock herself away more, not wanting to hurt anyone. she really believes she's done for when Jax gets into her room using his keys, having gotten worried when she didn't show up for a few days and manages to pull her from abstraction.

"The funny one..." she muttered, her back still turned to Jax whose stomach was twisting in a weird sense of déjà-vu. He opened his mouth to say something, defend himself, go back on everything, apologize again, cry, anything, but she suddenly spun around to face him.
"'The funny one', huh?" her usually melodic voice was taking on a more aggressive tone, "well, I'M. NOT. LAUGHING!" she yelled, hurling the block at the ground. Jax flinched and involuntarily took a step back, the knot in his stomach growing as he looked into her eyes and, oh...She was crying.

Funny Bunny stuff. Not quite angst, not quite fluff. Mix of both really.
Jax started to lose his memories. Not to the point of Kinger, but some things just began to slip. It started out slow and minor. He would zone out of some of Caine’s adventure monologues. Perhaps forget the centipede he left in Ragatha’s room, only remembering it once Ragatha yelled at him for once again digging into her worst fear.
But it was getting worse.
It seemed like after the argument with Pomni, he could barely pay attention to anything. He didn't WANT to remember anything. And that was just the case when he forgot what he exactly did to make Pomni think they were more than friends.

It had been a long time since Jax had a nightmare in this place that wrecked him like this. Figures that the thing- well, person- to trigger it would be the circus’s new jester. She got too close to him, and now it felt as if she were haunting him. Pushing her away was supposed to fix it, but it only made him think about her more. She was like a plague to his psyche.
Once he managed to steady his breathing, he got up and paced anxiously back and forth next to his bed. He knew it had only been a nightmare, a really bad one at that, but he couldn’t shake the anxiety he felt. A persistent, nagging voice in the back of his head was insisting that something was wrong. What if the nightmare was some bizarre sign that she was really suffering in her room, abstracting alone while he paced and the others slept? Or she had already abstracted, and it was too late?
