When it comes to Arthur, Gwaine does a lot of pretending for Merlin’s sake: pretending he doesn't know how Merlin feels about Arthur, pretending he doesn't know how Arthur feels in return, pretending he doesn't want to punch Arthur in the face and shout at the pair of them to stop being stupid and snog already.
(Gwaine's planning on being involved in the snogging too, he's not self-sacrificing enough to give Merlin up entirely, but he sort of thinks one of them has to make the first move.)

Summary
All in all, Arthur was one of those men about whom it could be said that their heart was in the right place, although he did take great pains to hide it. Still, the core of decency made Merlin endure the thick layers of arrogance (and their thin crispy crust of arseholery) with more patience than he’d ever thought possible. There was indeed a promise of greatness about Arthur that Merlin was willing to believe in.

Welcome to the abridged version of The Era's Tour (Merlin's Version)! My overly ambitious plan was to write a fic/ficlet inspired by each song that was on the eras tour set list.
But, my oh my, that was some wishful thinking! I started writing in December of 2023 and only completed twelve fics nearly a year and half later. As amazing as it would be to continue, my fics were becoming "quantity over quality." There are some fics that I am not all that happy with and therefore will only be posting the fics I liked.
And who knows, maybe down the road I will continue this project, but for now, I want to share the stories I have so far (and are happy with) - better than sitting in my drafts!
Each fic or ficlet in the series is its own story (meaning you don't have to read one to read another), and it is a mix of characters and ships.
Even though some of the stories are not Merthur based, I hope you all will continue the journey with me!
