Dean Forester had enough. Rory Gilmore was curel to him, making him think he was stupid, that it wasn't enough, that he was simple, that he was limited. Everyone looked at him funny on the streets of Stars Hollow, so he decided to just leave. He decided he needed a new life, new goals, new friends, and maybe a little sunshine, just like all of us. So he chose California as his destination. At first, all he wanted was to learn how to surf, get some color, and live in a place where they don't hate him just because he made stupid decisions when he was 22.
But as he embarked on this journey, he realized that it was about more than just a new chapter in his life. He realized that if you want to learn how to form your own opinion, and keep it - that's going to be a long thing to do. He vowed to consider things from now on, and decide smartly. He will not let himself be carried away by emotions, and while he will be attentive to others, he will also pay attention to himself.
Yeah. That was the plan. And then the boy with the green eyes showed up.
