Summary
Yun is still the Avatar. Kyoshi is still just a servant at Jianzhu’s estate, holding onto an impossible, unshakable love for a certain firebending Alpha. “What happened between you and Rangi?” Yun lay stretched out on his back, arms under his head. “Caught her crying at the table when you left. Did you two fight or something?”
A furrow deepened between Kyoshi’s brows at that, her brush strokes flying in wide, erratic swathes across the page. “We’re not friends anymore,” she said eventually. Yun rolled over onto his stomach to regard her with open surprise.
The tip of her sleeve got caught in the ink-pot, pigment seeping into the threadwork like tar; she turned her face away from him for a closer look, but he caught a glimpse of her tear-stained face all the same. “We aren’t good for each other,” she said softly, and her voice broke. “It took us a while to realize that.”
Or, alternatively:
The one where Kyoshi works herself into a tremendous jealous fit because she thinks she isn’t good enough for Rangi; Rangi suffers through a crippling bout of passive-aggressive, sapphic insecurity because she thinks she isn’t good enough for Kyoshi; and Yun all but flings himself into a screaming, root-pulling paroxysm because they’re both being insufferable.

Summary
What if Kyoshi had lit the tinder?
An alternate timeline starting at the beginning of The Rise of Kyoshi, where the test reveals the truth before it can be buried. With the world watching, and Jianzhu tightening his grip, Kyoshi is forced to grow into the role of Avatar with the entire world watching.
This is a story about power, control, loss, and what it costs to finally break free. -

Summary
So this is a little “what if” I’ve been playing with. What if Hei-Ran wasn’t supportive of Rangi choosing to follow her heart? What if she leaned harder into duty, expectations, and alliances, instead of giving Rangi space to choose for herself?
This idea takes place in The Rise of Kyoshi timeline—right after Kyoshi defeats Tagaka. In this version, nobody believes she’s the Avatar, and everything continues as it “should”… at least on the surface. That tension—between what’s expected and what Rangi really wants—sits at the core of this AU.
I’m still debating whether I want to turn this into a full fic, so let me know if you’d like me to continue it. 💭

All eyes turned to Kyoshi. She wanted to run away, but that would confirm Lek´s accusation just as much as admitting it openly. Her mother had always warned her against letting anyone, sworn siblings included, know of her airbending. For the safety of everyone in the Flying Opera Company, only her mother and father should know. Until she was sixteen. But now she was sixteen. So maybe it would not be that dangerous to tell them.
AU in which Avatar Kyoshi was raised by her parents and grew up as a sister of the Flying Opera Company.

In the year following the end of the war, Aang and his friends embark on "the Avatar Victory Tour," in which they revisit many places from their travels during the series. Along the way, Aang and Katara's relationship deepens, even as they confront some new complications. Then, after they have settled down in Republic City, disaster strikes.
This series creates an alternate universe that continues from the end of Avatar: The Last Airbender, and diverges from the graphic novels. It continues to Korra's time.

Summary
Rangi never expected to receive a letter from Hei-Ran, especially as they hadn’t spoken for almost four years after a bitter disagreement. Its contents even more surprising as it called her to Yokoya, the small mining town in the middle of nowhere which her mother governs. Honour bound to answer it’s summons, she leaves her position as First Lieutenant in the Fire Nation in order to do so. What she finds is a place surrounded by trees and mountains, full of interesting characters. However she never expected to find herself entwined with the legend of an otherworldly forest and the guardian spirit that protects it.
A guardian that the locals say is as tall as a mountain and wears a face of red and white!

When Yun learns he isn’t the Avatar, his spirit breaks. But this time, Jianzhu does one thing differently. Yun returns home.
As every treaty and agreement he has brokered becomes void, Yun watches. As the sweet servant girl is presented as the real Avatar, Yun watches. As his self worth lies in shattered glass and Kyoshi tearfully apologizes, Yun watches.
But he lives.
And over the course of years, he heals.
