She was a young lady, holding onto the title of Inquisitor days before she turned twenty-one, a small smile gracing her lips as she raised the ceremonial sword high into the air as their people cheered her on.
With her naivety, they were protective of her, aware of the predatory glances from the visiting nobles as their Inquisitor obliviously sits with one of her Inner Circle, the elven mage, reading a few tomes. They see them salivating as she trains with the Commander and the Qunari.
The nobles had it coming.

Summary
10 years ago, Solona Amell ran from Denerim, broken-hearted and confused. Alistair had promised to love her forever, but with everything that had happened, feelings for Zevran had deepened. So she ran, changing her appearance and avoiding anyone who may have cared for her. But, it was not meant to stay that way. A chance meeting with a friend, and then a few years later, a mostly willing decision to help, led Solona to be at the conclave in Haven. It was a case in the wrong place at the right time. Now Solona has been called on again to save the world as the head of the Inquisition, and the time has come to face her past and hopefully reunite with someone thought long lost.
Story will update every Wednesday (I hope) and has a range of POVs - though it will be noted at the beginning of the chapter. Always grateful for the comments, kudos and subscriptions.

Summary
After losing Haven and fleeing into the Frostback Mountains, the Inquisition discovers it needs a new home and direction, establishing itself at Skyhold. The advisors determine they need a permanent leader to guide the faithful against Corypheus, and Evie is asked to be Inquisitor. The mage accepts, shedding her past chains and declaring a new chapter in her life to bring forth change.
However, Evie quickly discovers she has traded one pair of shackles for another, overwhelmed by both her divine role as the Herald of Andraste and the emotional and physical demands of being the Inquisitor. Pressures from the Trevelyans, Orlesians, and Templars began burying the fire mage. Her Inner Circle invades her personal life. Her only saving grace is Cullen, who makes it his duty to be her protector, despite his own past creeping throughout Skyhold. The commander recognizes quickly the woman he has grown to care about is falling through very thin ice. Evie must choose between what is expected of her titles and what brings her happiness.
