The first time he’d actually spoken to her, she said, “I fell in love with you at first sight.” He was, of course, taken aback considering the circumstances of the entire encounter, along with the fact that the only other time they’d laid eyes on each other was after the water tower incident. He was also aware that she was joking… teasing him.

Embedding into the town as the newest builder, Lucy, Seraphina begins her mission, meeting and falling for the local bandit in the process.
This is a dark story. Read and heed the tags, I am warning you now. This is an AU where Duvos is not what the Alliance claims. There will be multiple major character deaths, no one (I mean it) is safe. These are not nice or happy people. Lucy WILL make the hard decisions.
This story will have two endings. One ending will be completely dead dove, the other will be closer to a HEA, they will release at the same time.

Honestly, I was listening to music when Michael Bublé's "Higher" came on and was inspired to write this ridiculous smut scene. I am NOT sorry about that. I AM sorry that I have no idea how to write a dancing scene so be kind and just pretend it's super sexy when Lucy and Owen start dancing together. Thank you. Also, Lucy wants to have a night of dancing. It would also be a plus if all her efforts drew the attention of a certain saloon owner.
