“What’s this?” Zuko asks, arching a brow as he takes the napkin he’s offered, eyes flickering over the digits inked in smudged calligraphy but readable.
“My number. So you can call me later.” The guy with blue eyes and hickeys along his collarbone says, smiling confidently for a moment. Truly, only a moment. Next thing he knows some insecurity passes by his face and he is crumbling into excuses, talking too fast and too much and this side of neurotic. “I mean, if you want to call me later. I don't want to assume, it's just last night was nice— not nice, hot— no, not hot, good. Last night was good and I like you so— not like you as in love you, like you as in you're nice— not nice, hot— no, not hot— fuck!”
His face meets his hands and he lets out a quiet sound of gut-wrenching despair.
“You're a rambler, aren't you?” He answers amusedly, good eye crinkling at the edges with a held back smile and bad eye hidden under a dark curtain of hair.(Or the one where Zuko's one time flings talks like he expects not to be listened to and Zuko listens. Over and over again.)

Summary
Zuko’s face is perfect for him, all sharp angles and planed skin, and it’s almost vicious in its beauty, almost too pretty and angular, and she wonders if she were to trail her fingers along the edge of his jaw, would she cut them? If she were to caress his cheek, to press her lips just underneath his eyes, would she hurt herself?
Katara's eyes drift down towards his lips, and sweat beads on them. She’s hypnotized by the way his lips pull and twist along with his face, as the muscles in his jaw clench. His lips look unfairly full, and she wonders what it would be like to press her hands against the blades of his cheekbones and bring his mouth close to hers.
He is a study in contradictory terms, sharp lines and harsh angles that melt into soft skin and gentle touches; and Katara cannot think of a time when she will not be fascinated by him.

Sokka was never sent to guard Yue, he was too busy scouting ahead with some of the Northern Tribe warriors before the Siege. He was catch and capture being taking too Zhao's ship. He barely managed to escape with his life due Aang and a giant sea monster. Now he's stranded in the middle of the ocean with no one except Prince Zuko and his uncle for company.
Sokka should have died, if not from drowning then the burns he received from his time on Zhao's ship. But he survived. Why? Maybe the white streak appearing in his hair may have give him an answer.

Summary
"We're going to be alcoholics by the time we're thirty," Sokka sighed.
"You think we'll live to be thirty?" Zuko asked, honestly thrilled. Sokka had pretty good instincts. Perhaps Zuko should reevaluate his long term goals. He could start by having long term goals.
A more likely alternative was that Sokka was just a hopeless optimist. It just went to show, you never truly saw another man until you stood shoulder to shoulder against a fleet of war balloons intent on raining death upon the city you loved.
Zuko was just a normal guy with normal interests. He liked theatre, burglary, crotchety ostrich horses, watching the Blind Bandit crush her opponents in a glorious display of skill and violence... just your standard banished prince things. It wasn't his fault he kept stumbling into rebellions and uncovering long-buried secrets. Fine, maybe freeing the prisoners was on him, but he was completely innocent of all other treason. Zuko was his father's loyal son. He'd never betray his nation.
