“Good evening.” Sister Gawa greeted, lounging on the couch, tilted her head back on the couch arm to look at them; a thin gray robe hastily thrown around herself- showing her collarbone tattoos and shadows of the luxurious gifts that existed further down her chest- holding a glass of rice wine between her fingers. Her legs rested comfortably over Ani’s lap, who was in the middle of pouring another glass, also dressed in a similar manner, though Yangchen rarely remembered ever seeing her hair remotely disheveled before.

This was unplanned, but my brain will not shut up with all these ideas and I'm just biting in one end to try and make it shut up(I'm unsure if this actually fits with it being 'Yangvik week,' but they are in this? It's silly and Kavik being flustered and experiencing severe cases of bi-panic. Semi-canon.)

Kavik is leaving on a solo mission. They have no idea how long he will be gone, only that it was deep undercover and could take months- maybe even a year.
Yangchen wasn't taking this whole thing very well. She didn't like letting her loved ones out of her sight, not when doing so had cost her so many of them. Hell, she had lost loved ones while she was looking at them. It was certainly reasonable to have the fears that she had. But, Kavik still had to go.
Maybe it was time for them to give in to the tension that had steadily been growing between them- to acknowledge the truth before he left. Because what if he didn't return? The universe wasn't kind, after all.

Kavik, Yangchen, and Jujinta are all about the same age. That age being the youngest on the team. Oftentimes this meant they bickered like siblings, especially when the adults weren’t around to judge them for it.
But it also meant some of them didn’t share the same experiences. They had all lead very different lives until this point. Occasionally one of them would get a reminder. Like the reminder that they were all 20 and Kavik was the only one who had been in a relationship before.
Well, there was nothing wrong with that. The other two would have their first kisses eventually.

Ever since their relationship crossed that particular threshold, working side by side with Kavik has gotten rather distracting. It takes some time for Yangchen to realize that trying her hardest to keep herself focused on her duties does not have to mean isolation, especially when Kavik’s care and devotion provide the best possible balance to her tendency to neglect her human sides.
