Summary
Keith wakes up with an unexpected bed partner after his New Year's bash.

Keith’s head is pounding as he wakes up on New Year’s day, eyes cracking open before slamming shut again as sun streams in through the half open blinds. He is going back to sleep, being up today is not worth it and a glance at the clock tells him it is still much too early, he does not even work until the evening shift. He tosses an arm over his face ready to close his eyes and will himself back to sleep when the bed shifts and suddenly another body is pressing close.
Keith freezes for a long minute as someone curls to his side and a head full of fluffy hair finds a comfortable resting spot on his chest. Keith slowly lowers his arm unsure of who could possibly by in bed with him, clearly naked form all of the hot flesh pressed against his. He should have guessed it was another guy from the hard press of a dick against his thigh but Keith will blame his slow brain on the hangover. Still Steve Harrington looking pretty and soft in the early morning light, curled up to him all pale and spotted is not even on the list of people Keith considered might find their way into his bed.

"Duck!" Steve frowns as Tommy shouts and Jonathan immediately does as he is told, Steve's eyes widening as half of a psych text book hits the doorframe right by his face.
"What the fuck are you two doing?" Steve hisses angrily as he ducks down glaring at Jonathan through the cracked door as someone yells from deeper in the room, it does not sound like Tommy.
Billy pauses in his rampage as his eyes land on the man standing in the crack of the doorway. Pretty, pretty is the word rattling around in Billy’s head.

“One day I’ll be king.” Billy makes the declaration when he is eight playing in the courtyard with Steve, both of them wielding sticks against one another pretending to be dueling knights.
“You aren’t in line to be king, you aren't a part of the royal family.” Steve points out as Billy easily deflects his stick when he brings it down, Billy actually practices with practice swords every day while Steve is confined to the library forced into his morning studies so out of the two of them he is the one that actually knows what he is doing.
Billy pretends to think on it, moving in and tapping Steve’s thigh lightly with his stick, always more careful when he plays with Steve than anyone else. It still makes Steve gasp and jump back, makes him try darting forward to strike but Billy dodges him and all he catches is air. “Guess I’ll just have to marry you then.”

He knows Steve loves mashed potatoes, even the shitty powdered ones. They share another look, Mable giggling as Steve rolls his eyes. “Keith, would my green bean casserole help cheer you up?”

It is a ploy for fresh blood and an attempt to get out of inventory one Keith would like to claim does not work but absolutely does, he is already half hard in his jeans because feeding always involves sex with Steve.
"You already ate." Keith points out anyways snorting at the pout that gets him as Steve presses closer, hands curling into the fabric of his jeans, clinging.
"Yeah but that stuff is gross and cold, I want something good. Please Keith your blood tastes so much better." Steve goes right to asking, squirming as he stares up at Keith imploringly

He pauses for a long minute, head cocked as he listens for it, it comes again but it is so faint that he chalks it up to the neighbors coming in late. A few minutes later it has gotten louder and he is no longer convinced it is the neighbors, a worried frown on his lips as he gets up to check on Steve.
He pushes the door open, the cries getting louder and his frown deepens as he sees Steve tossing and turning caught up in the sheets. “Steve.” Keith calls as he walks over to the bed, calls out to him once more before he is trying to help Steve untangle from the blankets in his sleep, hoping it will help.

The first birthday Keith has when they are messing around he does not tell Steve until the day is nearly over. The both of them work the late shift on a Friday evening and Steve technically has plans with Robin but Keith is trying his hardest to coerce him into coming home with him instead. Keith does not even mean to tell him but he also does not want to just go home by himself, he is not celebrating with his friends until Wednesday when they have their weekly game and the idea of spending the rest of the night with Steve, celebrating in his own way, is appealing so he lets it slip. “Come on it’s my birthday, please?”
“Why didn’t you tell me, we could have done something, I would have made you a cake at least.” Steve says, making big puppy eyes up at Keith where he is backed against the back wall, Keith blocking him in just behind a partition, keeping them out of sight of the big windows up front.
