Summary
After the adventure at Spudsy’s, Jax kept himself in his room for five days. While there were times that the rabbit would hide away after a difficult time, he normally wouldn't stay gone for this long. It was worrying, enough that the other circus members were wondering if something was wrong. Caine knew he'd have to step in and talk to the guy, whether or not he'd be appreciative of it.
When the AI goes to do just that, the two end up discussing how to make future adventures more tasteful for everyone involved, and Caine finds himself agreeing to something he hadn't initially planned on.

"But don't you think its possible? Sure she might've been lying, trying to keep herself sane, but then why would she have written such detailed instructions to get there?" Jax sighs, turning around to look out into the void, off the edge of the island. "Listen. If it doesn't work, or its not out there, then we fall for a good five minuets before Caine gets an alert and teleports us back. We have nothing to lose and nothing holding us back. The board glitch works- we know that for a fact, so as long as we follow her instructions we could get there."
Kinger feels the crumpled piece of paper in his hands, then looks at where Jax probably is. As much as he hates to admit it, Jax could be right. Queenie wouldn't lie about this, especially with the instructions being so detailed. Re-folding the paper, he sighs and slides it along the table, tapping his fingers on the wood to get Jax's attention.
"Fine. Read out what the instructions say and if it truly is possible, we'll go."

Caine decides that a "fun" adventure would be searching for things, and Kinger can't go, so he and Jax stay behind. The two get up to some shenanigans while the others are gone.

What if he was a broken down man trapped in his past trauma trying to find solace in others by always offering his own support, only to have no one be there for him in return? And what if by the time he ended up trapped in the Digital World, he'd broken further, and gave up on caring for others?
So what then, when his selfish way of coping leads to him getting a taste of his own medicine? What if he was retraumatized during the Spudsy's adventure? Will he throw his strategy of escapism through cruelty away in search of a new one? Perhaps Caine's willingness to please his guests will help find a solution. And maybe Jax can help Caine in return.
After all, one people pleaser would know another people pleaser better than anyone.

Summary
Jax has never wanted anyone's care at the circus. So when a well-meaning ragdoll asks if he's okay one gloomy morning, he crosses the line. Goes too far. And immediately wishes he didn't.
Caine, trying to lighten and brighten the mood, prepares a Valentine's Day themed adventure for the troupe! After all, human minds seem to crave this sort of thing, right? Only for him to feel (if he can at all) utter dismay and confusion when the circus members are less than enthralled by the idea. Looking for advice, he goes to Pomni, much to her surprise and discomfort, to teach him about that oh so elusive, strange, fuzzy feeling they call 'love'.
Meanwhile, a jack(a$%)rabbit and a certain red-head doll seem to be quieter than ever as they're forced to partake in Caine's newest creation. Huh...wonder what that's all about?
