Pre Ocarina of Time, post Force Era and Hyrulean Civil War.
In the heat and heart of what's being called Hyrule's 'Second Era of Prosperity', shy and aloof Link has never known life outside of being a blacksmith's apprentice. Yet all of that changes when his home town is raided and burnt to the ground, sending him running and ultimately thrown into a quest to not only rescue those that were abducted in the chaos, but to foil a nefarious plot to give an ancient evil foothold in the world once again.
Joined by a young woman whose sister was among those taken, both of them must contend with not only the harsh, unforgiving wilderness outside of their home, but also bands of thieves and monsters, gargantuan beasts, angry and vengeful inhabitants of areas outside the borders, as well as the looming threat of civil war on all sides.
And all the while, the forces behind the destruction of their homes and abduction of their loved ones are always watching, waiting, and soon, seek to not only find them, yet to let the evil they serve feast on their blood...

Keep in mind it is far from finished. With the exception of the prologue, each consecutive chapter will tell a story from a different point in Koume's lifetime, and once I get some feedback, production should move along more smoothly.

Part 2 of 3, explores the various clans of Ikana and how they live in Termina. Eons have passed since Majora's wrath, yet Arch Mage Midna's actions have allowed the ways of the Gomess and worship of the Giants to filter out into Termina. During the present age of technology, her descendant has finally come of age to undergo her apprenticeship in the ways of magic. When Sable travels to the Southern Swamps to train with Koume and Kotake she realises she is not alone in wanting to pursue this type of power.
