Amity Park is not a stranger to ghosts.
Arguably, their most famous ghost isn't even a full ghost- not that most people know that.
Still, it's only a matter of time before people begin to realize that Danny Phantom doesn't act like most ghosts. And Danny Fenton doesn't seem quite normal.
It's a snowball effect. Danny can only watch as his life falls apart in front of his very eyes. Foes from all over are out to get him. He can only hope he doesn't crack under the pressure.
Who ever said being a teenage halfa would be easy?

Danny just appeared, 7 inches of gnarled clumsy stitching carving a flight path from jaw to temple, redder and more inflamed after his face spent the night bartering with the first ugly steps of healing. And he expected… something.
An accusation, really. A leading interrogation. Because Phantom’s face-gouge had been plastered in HD across the town’s televisions, a turkey slice to match his own ghastly face wound. The Town of Amity Park thought itself resilient, and almost...whimsical--having adapted to the life of a classic "superhero town": the ghosts came, Phantom showed up and fought the ghosts back, the paramedics and fire brigade dealt with the damage, then the day went on. The ghosts became more like inconveniences than anything else.
...but that all changed with the start of a new school year...when the fog came.
For the first time in Amity, the stakes are fatal--people are murdered or go missing, week after week. A new urban legend about a mysterious tv broadcast on rainy midnights, forecasting who's next. Lives hang in the balance, and the walls are closing in...but Danny's investigations turn up futile. The pattern is clear--someone always goes missing before the fog rolls in. Then the cycle starts again.
He just needs to save them before that, and find the ghost responsible for all this...

Star is a ghost. She has no idea how she became a ghost, but decides there's only one thing it could be: murder. So, she elicits the help of some ghosts and Team Phantom to help solve it. However, when more girls begin to disappear, and another student turns up dead, the group realizes that maybe this goes beyond just Star's murder and they might be in over their heads.
All the while, given she has transformation powers and her body is still missing, Star decides to continue living her life while keeping her ghostliness a secret. This is easier said than done! Luckily, Danny is there to help, although there are some slip-ups...
Danny, meanwhile, is dealing with the realization that he's started to identify more as a ghost than a human, not helped by discovering that halfas are immortal. Plus, he's seriously starting to suspect that Jazz is right that he has not just PTSD, but ADHD as well.
On top of this, Star and Danny both discover that they have crushes on the other. Will they act on this?

Now, Danny, alongside the A-Listers, has to keep it a secret from everyone in his world. Much worse, said fiancé, is the ruler of the Ghost Zone, and one that has humans as enemies.
