“It’s not a date,” grunted Isaac, shoving a boulder aside to reveal a ladder down to the next level of the mines. “It’s a mission.” He just wanted to get in, do the job, and get out. Normally, he considered any of the requests touching on the Stardew mines as beneath him—he’d outpaced such kiddie stuff over a decade ago—but this one had come directly from Marlon, and had enough of an interesting twist on it that he obliged.
