    Danny hummed to himself, the saccharine melody a stark contrast to the grimy brick walls of the Gotham alley. The sour tang of garbage and ozone from his own fried core warred along with the thick, metallic scent of blood filled the air. His hands slick with something he refused to identify.

    "You look like shit, man." The voice from the helmet was mechanically distorted, but the dry tone was clear. The man’s head tilted. "Can you tell me why you are trying to dress up as a trash can?"

    Danny blinked slowly, the adrenaline high finally, blessedly, beginning to ebb. The pain was becoming a distant, roaring thing. Peaceful, almost.

    He met the blank gaze of the helmet, his own eyes wide and unnervingly calm. "My organs fell out…" he stated, his voice disturbingly even. He gestured weakly with a crimson-coated hand toward the ruin of his midsection. "Don't have skin anymore."

    As soon as he lays eyes on the scene, Jason only has a single moment to take it in: Seventeen goons, most favouring legs or nursing wounds, but all still armed and poised with sinister hubris over a fallen form, which is bound and held roughly by two of them.

    They’re laughing and jeering, one of them has a hand tightly gripping their captive’s hair to hold his head back, another is twisting his upper arm, and yet another is raising some sort of baton to strike. Their captive’s face is bloodied and bruised, lip split and one cheek swollen into the crease of his cracked domino, but he still snarls defiantly at his captors.

    It’s Damian.

    All at once, Jason finds himself completely swallowed by that roiling, green haze.

    AU where Jason was trained as Damian's bodyguard during his time with the League. So when the newest Robin recklessly sneaks out on patrol and gets badly hurt, Red Hood loses it to the Pit and slaughters the perpetrators. In this green-hazed state of mind, Jason's only concern is the safety of his charge, while Damian is far more concerned with making sure Batman doesn't find the bodies.

    They hadn’t been as careful as they should’ve been apparently, and people had seen them together. Red Hood and him, that is. Apparently Jason had a snitch in his ranks who talked all too happily about the men that frequently entered Hood’s apartment. It would be his death-sentence, Tim was sure off it.

    All of these men were part of the walking dead—he might not approve of Jason’s methods, but he could respect them and these guys would be shot before the night was over, no matter how much Tim might plead for their lives.

    And he was really not feeling like pleading for them right now. The bruising was going to be a bitch to cover up and it would raise unwanted attention.

    But he also remembered waking up in a freezing cave, drenched in a glowing green goop he’d fought tooth and nail to get out from.
    Peter Parker was meant to die on Titan. So why was he in an alternate universe, trying to survive the winter with nothing but the will to build a makeshift heater?

    Now three years younger and with rapidly evolving abilities due to the Lazarus Pit, ex sixteen year-old Peter Parker (he refuses to call himself thirteen) finds himself homeless, alone and freezing in Gotham’s brutal winter. With an Arkham breakout going on and him already nursing injuries it wasn't like he would be out and about anyway, and it wasn't like Dick ever used this particular safehouse so there was little chance Nightwing would run across the still unknown but dangerous Red Hood. Honestly, Jason was somewhat impressed he still had it, and that the spare key was right where Dick had promised a young robin he didn't even like.

    He was less impressed to find out that he was wrong, and that Dick did still use this safehouse. He was even less impressed to find out that the safehouse was more to hide from his family and friends.

    But, as he stalks through dark hallways; Tim Drake would not be forgetting him after tonight. He would have a very permanent reminder of whom exactly it was, he’d stolen from.

    Originally, he’d been planning on just roughing the kid up a bit, maybe break a few bones, but inspiration had struck and his new plan was far superior.

    or: Jason is in for a rude awakening when he claims Tim after the attack on the Titan's Tower.

    Tim remembered a time when he would've been ecstatic to be in the presence of Jason Todd. But, that was before.

    Jason Todd, the version Tim admired at least, was dead.

    In his place was the Red Hood.

    And, if anyone knew anything about the Red Hood, it’s that he hated the newest Robin with every fiber of his being.

    These days, the very thought of having to be in his very presence would send Tim spiraling. Not that he would ever tell that to Dick, or God forbid Bruce. The pair wouldn't admit it, well Dick might actually, but they desperately wanted Jason to come back into the family.

    Both put up a front like they hated the Red Hood, but Tim is more perceptive than they give him credit for.

    But that’s okay.

    Tim knows that he is an afterthought.
