Link felt like a fucking show pony at the ball. He was dressed up and on display, in a heavy green silk tunic and trousers. His collar fell wide open, his white linen shirt stiff around his throat and his boots were leather so soft he almost feared he'd tear them if he stumbled into a chair – and stumbling was a real risk, after this many glasses of wine.
Zelda saved him, if he could call it that. She cut away from the dancing to seize his hands, plucking his wine glass from his grip and depositing it on the nearest table without so much as a word. The music was swelling into a new dance and Link reluctantly conceded to join her.
It was a dance he knew after this many years at court.

Neither Link or Zelda had a chance to respond before the mummy held its hands over its chest and gathered the smoke-like gloom that seeped from its chest. With a guttural roar, it raised its arms. The gloom surged upwards and violently collided with the cavern ceiling above.
Zelda could only stare in horror before the ground cracked underneath her feet. She gasped, stumbled back, and fell backward. Link jumped after her, face twisted in panic and pain, and reached out to her with his damaged arm. They just brushed fingertips before Zelda felt herself come to an abrupt stop in the air, and Link fell past her. He twisted in the air, trying to grab onto her outstretched arm, but to no avail.
“Link!” Zelda screamed, watching in horror as Link tumbled into the depths below, swallowed by the darkness.
After that, she felt a tug on her arm, and the world went white.

This is a story about the development of Link and Ravio’s relationship, both platonic and romantic, as they both settle into a quieter life and come to terms with what they have endured. Together, perhaps the scars of their pasts will not just fade but heal.
While the Link featured in this is based on Legend from Linked Universe, LU will not actually happen. It will likely go beyond when he would have joined the chain, so you can think of this as a what-if Link got to retire instead of becoming Legend.

in a universe where Purah creates a device that helps the champions overcome the calamity, what if it were to malfunction, if it were to accidentally summon the hero from 100 years in the future?
this fic is basically just Purah accidentally time-traveling post-calamity/TOTK link to the pre-calamity champions (including her and Zelda) whilst he's wearing a mask, non of them realize it's him, and they now have beef since Link refuses to take it off and his fight or flight was triggered from being summoned, causing him to attack them. How are they going to realize that the weird Bokoblin acting Hylian(?) is Link, that all of them are dead in the future and that he's now a speaking, chaotic mess of the royal guard he once was???
Also, I only realized this 4 months after posting the first chapter, but updates are really slow, usually monthly. so if the latest chapter is around a month old, I'll probably post a new one that week.
(btw, the revilink isn't in here yet, honestly idk if I'm even gonna include it in the fic in the first place???)
