During Link's travels after the events of Tears of the Kingdom, Link adopts a five year old Gerudo boy after his parents die in a horrible accident. He raises Ganondorf all on his own, and teaches him about his past, helping him to try and break the cycle. But he won't be able to protect Ganondorf forever.

Wild never enjoyed large gatherings, but it only got worse after his quest.
The Hyrule that he remembered clearly didn’t have very many people. At least, not in comparison to the versions of Hyrule he had seen in his time with the chain. The largest town, Hateno, occasionally felt a bit crowded but even then Wild never felt the way that he felt right now.

Link didn’t want to go, he didn’t want to leave! He had questions, so many questions and he didn’t want to go! But the bright light surrounded him and whited out his vision, and for a moment it felt like he was flying. And then he was standing at the entrance to Zora’s Domain, arm stretched out, reaching for someone who no longer existed.

Zelda decides to hold a festival which marked the completion of the rebuilding of Castle Town. All the new champions, and, of course, Link, are invited. But Link doesn't like socializing, and when he accidentally gets separated from his friends, it all becomes too much for him.
