Luckily for them, they learned a bit about the party anyway – enough to realize that their versions are... different.
Or maybe unluckily for them. Because now that they've met versions of their friends who have been trying with all their might to understand Siffrin (and even Loop!) in all of their opaquenesses, they may never be satisfied in their home universe again.
(What if Siffrin had more of a reason to fear opening up to the party than just being terrified of vulnerability?)

Summary
Yes, this is a person. Humanity and personhood are not synonyms. The jaged face, glowing body and string tail are not something a human would have, but the body language, even if reminiscent of a spooked prey, and the fact that comunication with language is possible, are more than enough concret evidence for person on top of the plain and simple feeling they give off.
