When Alex Walker was ten, his spark ignited in one of the worst times it could have. During the War of the Spark. By some act of a being higher than him, Alex's spark was not a regular planeswalker spark. Instead it was a universewalker spark. With it he retained the legendary abilities of planeswalkers of old.
When he was twelve he was kidnapped by the phyrexians to be compleated. Fortunately he was unable to be compleated, but the trauma of the various experiments still haunts him to this day.
Now at fourteen he feels a distress call from one like himself coming from another universe. He decides to follow this signal. He finds himself in a world of strange superpowers and even stranger people. Unable to find the source of the signal, Alex waits in hopes of finding anyone who is like himself.

A coffee shop AU following the Gatewatch, primarily going to be written from Chandra and Liliana's perspective, though I may dabble in writing from other perspectives as well. The Gatewatch meet by working within a few blocks of each other. One of them finds and opportunity for a very sensibly priced five bedroom house in walking distance and they move in together. Tezzeret had found a way to hide scraps of precious etherium on himself so it couldn't be stolen easily. Pockets would never do, and twisting it into his hair barely sufficed to keep it safe and hidden. Skin has layers, easy to get between, and there are certain parts of the body no one would ever think to check or question.
Kyrra, Tezzeret's childhood friend, had noticed the scarring before, but did not realize the extent of them or their severity until she saw him in a rare moment of vulnerability. His back, his abdomen, his thighs, and more, spotted and crisscrossed with the distinct grey scars and bumps caused by prolonged exposure to etherium. Thankfully, she knew a spell or two and techniques to help heal and soothe the symptoms of etherium poisoning. Tezzeret, despite his protests, gets forced into a spa day. -
