When Tora was building Origin he was just as afraid of failure as everyone else. So he built another function into the machine. If the worst were to happen anyone in contact with Origin would be sent to the past. Resetting Origin was not supposed to activate this feature, and yet Noah and the others found themselves in the past, not that they’re aware that it’s the past at all.
Scattered across the world, and unknowingly wreaking havoc on the timeline. That would be bad enough, but what’s with all this fog?

The consul lifted up their arm and pressed a button, dissolving their chef hat-shaped helmet. Underneath was a peachy, fluffy face topped with a tuft of pink hair.

“You hope to live more?” Noah asked innocently.
“...I dunno,” Mio replied softly. An odd answer for such a seemingly easy question, she realized, after she said the first thing that came to her mind. The obvious answer should have been, “Of course. Who wouldn’t?” But for Mio, who both simultaneously fought so hard to cling onto the remaining life of hers and those around her, while at the same hating this world which forced her to do exactly that – the only thing that she could muster to say in that moment was, “I dunno – doesn’t matter”.
A reimagination of the main story primarily told from Mio’s POV, as she struggles to come to terms with her time on Aionios coming to a close. But as she embarks on one final chapter which forces her to evaluate the mark she’ll leave on the world and those closest around her, she starts to find out what ‘life’ and living for herself truly means.
