Viserys' first daughter cries and holds the small creature tightly. All the suffering she'd been experiencing for the past few months seemed to melt away as it never happened.
"Visenya". Rhaenyra whispered, looking into the firstborn's innocent eyes. They are full of determination and bravery, thought the Princess of Dragonstone.
"Visenya? Is that you?" whispered the blind man to young maid's face. He strokes her long hair, thinking his love has returned. "Oh Visenya..." he said to this frightened girl who had just brought him a jug of wine.

When words of the Greens’ attempt at a coup reaches her ears, Rhaenyra does not listen to reason. She reunites her strongest allies and flies for King's Landing with fire as her shield and spear. It is perhaps by chance or simple fate that she arrives just in time to seize the throne before it can be stolen from her heritage, the traitorous side of her house fleeing to Oldtown when Aegon is brought to the Keep only after their plans have been crushed.
A month passes, and their side convinces small folks to rebel more than the black council had first hoped. Hiding unattainable in a tower, locked in the continent's richest city, there is little left for them to do than pray for the Greens to betray themselves.
All seems to point toward the direction of war - that is, until the Dowager Queen is captured and brought kneeling to her throne.

On the day of his daughter's wedding, Otto was certain all his ambitions would come to fruition.
His daughter would be queen of Westeros in a few hours and would supply the realm with a few strapping sons who could take over. For now, he had ensured that the Princess Rhaenyra was heir, and Prince Daemon second in line, currently in disgrace with his brother.
Otto knew that the discord between the brothers would not last, it never had in the past. Soft-hearted as Viserys was, he had always been swayed to accept his brother back at court. But for now, it was enough.
For now, Prince Daemon was sulking on Dragonstone, far away from court and the king. Unable to influence anyone at the moment and bereft of the title he had held for almost a decade.
For now, it was enough.
That was what he told himself when he went to bed the night after his daughter’s wedding.
