Summary
A fight doesn’t quite go according to plan and leaves Marc injured and defeated in more ways than one. Dealing with the result of the injuries he sustains threatens to become too much even with Steven there to help and it leaves both with the question of who should be in control, and if the pain will ever begin to ebb, both the physical and the mental.

While "The Eyes of Khonshu" explores Moon Knight (2022) from Matthew Murdock's perspective. Showing what Marc and Steven had gotten up to and how Matt had gotten himself accidentally involved. A "what if Matt was there" type story.

An AU that centers around the system's experiences with a toxic partner they meet in highschool. How they ended up in this position, what it does to them, and the way that victims of child abuse can be vulnerable to re-enacting abusive dynamics in their adult relationships.
The first fic is the one that sets up, elaborates on, and resolves the abuse. Every other fic following the series will seek to explore the fallout of the relationship, how it changed the characters, the course of their lives, and exploring the nature of love and trust after the fact.
This series will explore themes of child abuse, domestic violence, grooming, addiction, sexual assault, recovery, medical ableism, gaslighting, and in-depth explorations of severe trauma.
Everyone in the MK system will be depicted with autism, C-PTSD, OCD, seasonal depression, and (of course), D.I.D.
