Lio is the god of Fire in the Greek-like city of Promepolis tasked with keeping Fennel Volcano from destroying everything. He had long accepted his fate until one day he finds Galo Thymos being brought to him. Something is wrong with this picture
A mythology/deity-inspired AU. Starts with an overall story outline, some short vignettes and then the fic.
For those wary on some topics, there is a thwarted sacrifice and Lio has a primarily monster design. Kray Foresight gives flavor to the plot, and there is a happy ending.

Gueira kicked off his shoes at the door, sock feet padding over to where Meis stood, washing the dishes. Meis felt his heart catch in his chest at the sight of Gueira in the fading sunlight. The orange lent itself to him, making him more bright and vibrant and warm than just the fire in his veins could manage.
“Gueira…” Meis breathed, awestruck.
“Yeah?” Gueira turned, his bright red eyes burning right through Meis.
Meis turned quickly, feeling his cheeks heat up. “…Gather up the laundry, we should probably wash that tomorrow, too.”
“Alright.” Gueira shrugged, blissfully unaware of the effect he had on the raven-haired boy. And what an effect he had.I'm writing fanfiction for NaNoWriMo!
