Summary
This story follows Ratchet, Orion Pax, and Megatronus as the three meet, learn more about each other, and eventually date all before the cybertronian civil war begins. Rating was changed to M due to a one-night stand in chapter 15.

“What’s that got to do with me?” Ratchet busies himself with work again. He pulls Megatronus’ detached arm out of his lap.He looks within it. There’s no energon. Had Megatronus already cleaned it?
“You don’t remember your first show?”
“Of course I do, though I’d hardly call it a show.” He spent the whole time grimacing. Ratchet doesn’t watch battles. Not even then. He came to tend to the wounded not partake in cheering on their suffering. As soon as a fight was over he and his cohorts would rush in, pull the battle-busted bots out, and another set of fighters would take their place. They did what they could to take care of the wounds on the sidelines, before another cart would arrive to carry the injured below. Where the rest of the team would treat them.

"He scanned around him, gray walls, gray floor, metal everywhere. His optics caught on a heavy metal door on the right, a probably complicated lock adorning the structure. His spark sunk, this might be harder than he thought.
The tug of chains caught his audials again. Confused, his gaze wandered slowly in front of him, intakes hitching when he realized there were several tons of beige and purple plating sitting right there. The triple changer was sitting with his knees to the floor, lower limbs tucked behind him. His frame was tense.
When Bumblebee lifted his optics to meet the other mechs, a red and black faceplate grinned at him, servo tugging up in a short wave. Bumblebee stared, terrified. Of course this would happen to him, of course he was stuck in this tiny cell with Blitzwing of all mechs. It’s not like he could catch a break or anything!"
...
Blitzwing and Bumblebee find themselves trapped by an enemy who should have stayed dead. An unsteady truce blooms between them, though Blitzwing can't help but wonder if he wants more.

Summary
There had always been some degree of hubris that followed Ratchet. Not that maliciousness was ever his goal but after finally making his way up the institutional order of Cybertronian society, far away from his creator's reputation, it was to be expected. He was taken to his creator’s home under the assumption that their interests would align as he grew. Sadly, this assumption only led to disappointment for all involved.
He supposes he was lucky. His current occupation would’ve been a slow-going success without his creator, however indignant his feelings towards fate and divine intervention are. He didn’t believe he viewed the world through rose-tinted optics. But now he knows that there was nothing to ever compare it to.
So, while his creator pushed him to perfection, not unlike the high expectations silently placed on the mechs in the city center, his predestined stubbornness bared its teeth. He had no interest in being holed up in a stuffy room full of datapads, lit terminals, and awards long since rusted in a crate.

Where Ratchet has a Grade A certified crashout set during his budding freedom fighting career in the depths of the Dead End.

Faux Pas, or Trust, the name she gave him, was one of the worst, traitorous mercenary hackers in the city of Detroit. For the right price, she'd get dirt on anyone you wanted, blackmail, information, files, plans, social papers, never getting caught or suspected. Useful for taking enemies down.
Unfortunately, this meant at any time depending on who's paying, she could turn the tables and leave you hung dry, no matter how much faith you'd have in her not betraying you.
A flip of a coin, a gamble where her desperate corporate clients hope that they can complete the transaction and move on before their enemies get her on their side.

Optimus knew he was meant for great things, but he never knew his life would turn out like this. When his crew unknowingly become protectors of the legendary AllSpark, hero's on a strange planet, and befriending one of the locals, he was sure he was prepared for everything.
Though he didn't realize that watching over a would-be Decepticon would be on his list.
It was easier said then done without Ratchet getting on his case about it, worrying about the safety of the AllSpark and the planet, and the fact that their unofficial ambassador happens to be good friends with the young 'Con. Could anything else go wrong?
