Erik’s ears flicked back, his instincts screaming both warning and curiosity. The children approached the fence cautiously, one holding out a hand as if inviting him.
He growled low in his throat, a warning not meant to hurt, but to keep his distance.
The children froze, startled, but didn’t run. Instead, they whispered to each other, fascination shining in their eyes.
Erik’s stomach twisted painfully—a sudden reminder of hunger. He had eaten nothing since the battle, and the smells here were foreign and confusing. His wolf mind urged him to hunt, but there was no familiar scent of rabbit or deer. Just strange smells, unrecognizable and distant.
He licked his dry tongue and retreated silently into the thicker brush.

Her mother had always been harsh - never quite satisfied with anything Elodie did - and her brother distant. The little bits of love that trickled through, the faint scraps of affection, always seemed to slip through her fingers like water. She didn't belong. Not to them, not to anyone.
So when she had come to the conclusion that maybe it was her turn to go, she never expected anyone to care. She never expected anyone to save her.
Certainly not someone like Daryl Dixon.

The mysterious calendar made up of variously coloured "Moons" is an ongoing puzzle for fans of the classic fantasy anime Vision of Escaflowne (1996). Clues to the calendar used in the fictional setting of Gaea are dropped via the official character profiles give clues by pairing the characters' Earth calendar birthdates with their Gaean equivalents. When I first watched Escaflowne back in 2009, I was curious about the coloured Moons in the calendar system and I developed a vague idea that the coloured Moons were based off the colours of the 12 classic birthstones.
In this essay, I test and explore my hypothesis. Please note that this is just my personal "fan theory" and I'm not trying to force anyone else to believe it or use it in their fanfic writing, I'm just sharing it for fun.
