Merlin and Morgana. District 11. Both chosen for the Hunger Games.
And the problem is, the one rule there is, they both have broken the second their name has been pulled from the bowl: No Magick of Any Sorts in the Hunger Games.
Arthur Pendragon, supposedly part of the Careers. No one apart from his father objects to his rowdy Volunteering, it wasn't unusual in District 4. They obviously didn't notice the shaking young 12 year old being chosen for the Games.
Both misunderstood, Merlin and Arthur enter the Games as enemies.
The thing is, only one of them can return anyway, so what would it matter if they became friends?
Authors Note: This took me over three weeks, and although the summary may be crappy I can assure you the story is not. Please read and leave a Kudos if you liked it!

Merlin remembers it all, every last detail from his first life. He never forgets, not after he kills himself, not after he is reborn, time and time again. But someone catches him this time, when he tries to take his life for the (what, 345th time?) and is sent to a mental hospital with a therapist and nurses.
He isn't surprised when his therapist is Arthur. It sucks, looking at the body of the man you once loved but not having his mind.
So he talks of the times when he loved Arthur, spewing everything in his point of view. And he sees little pieces of Arthur's old personality coming back.
Merlin knows he'll never have the same old herioc oaf of an Arthur again, but maybe he'll fall in love with this one too.
And so he talks.

When a conversation around the campfire one night turns to the topic of dirty talk during sex, the knights proceed to try and outdo one another at it, yielding some truly hilarious attempts. Merlin's roped in after a fashion because the knights reckon it'd be golden to hear Merlin talking dirty, only Merlin turns out to have the filthiest mouth in their company, getting everyone squirming barely minutes into his session.
Arthur's more affected than he'd like to admit, and finds he can't stop thinking about it later even in the tent that he's sharing with Merlin...

This story was inspired by the thought of Prince William of Wales (and indeed the current Max von Hapsburg) studying at the University of St Andrews; it is also, as the title suggests, at least a little inspired by the operetta 'The Student Prince'.
