Peter Parker has just graduated from Midtown High School and plans to spend his summer interning with none other than Tony Stark. Or at least that’s what he’ll tell Aunt May. In actual fact he’ll be continuing his work with the Avengers. But none of that - or anything else for that matter - could’ve prepared him for meeting her.
At thirteen her parents were brutally murdered for their invaluable research on mutants - herself included - by a secret government cooperative. When Tony Stark became her legal guardian he choose to send her to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters in order to help her gain further control of her powers whilst remaining protected. But unfortunately it didn't last long. It's been four years since she was kidnapped and after being rescued by The Avengers she's remained in a trauma induced state of catatonia. That is until summer begins.
In short a story about recovery, friendship, late night conversations and the bliss of eating ice cream on a hot day.

James Buchanan Barnes seems to have a real problem with your affinity for all things he deemed “girly”, as though he thinks it obscures your abilities to do your job, it's too bad he has no proof of that. In fact he’s so far gone that he seems to have forgotten you’ve taken him down in a sparring session more than once and if you recall one of those times you were wearing a killer glittery pink eye shadow look. So you wish he would lay the hell off. No one else on the team has an issue with the way you present yourself and if Bucky could just ask you about it instead of judging you maybe then you would explain yourself. Not that you feel as though you need to or that you particularly want to but if it got him to shut the hell up you'd certainly feel more inclined.
But when you’ve been invisible for most of your life you learn to accept that people are going to see what they want to see despite what you might have to say about it.

She risks exposing herself, for the sake of a dying old man, and a child who has just started his life. Spider-Man gets suspicious of the whole situation and decides to dig deep.
