Jason Kolchek was a competent soldier. Being a First Lieutenant in the FORECON, he knew what the enemy looked like. Which was why Jason didn’t think of anything to be unusual when a vehicle that looked exactly like what American army men in Baghdad drove–a black Chevrolet Suburban–approached him. Jason could vaguely make out the distinctive camouflage American uniforms through the tinted glasses and put his guard down, continuing his casual steps as the vehicle rolled up next to him.
Only when the car door was opened and two men jumped out, Jason realized very quickly that these men in American uniforms were not Americans at all.
Or, how Jason discovered that Heaven and Hell was on Earth.
