Chip had begged for Arlin to become his guardian, wanting nothing more than a family that would love him. But when the Goliath did take him in, he didn't expect to become the Prince. Gillion had always been the Chosen One. The expectations were always heavy and many, but he could handle them with ease. He would achieve his Destiny and then more if the Goddesses deemed him worthy. But not even Fate's guiding hand stopped his wish to explore, whether it was the rest of the Undersea or a single city of the Oversea.
Both longed for things they didn't or couldn't have. But it would be the Chosen One's desire to be granted first.

The footsteps, which Gillion had overlooked before, abruptly stopped and Gillion froze.
A voice called out. “Hello?”
“Jay, what are you doing?” A second voice.
“I think there’s someone out there…” The footsteps - presumably belonging to these two people - started again and increased in pace. To Gillion’s dismay they seemed to be getting louder and he scrambled to stand again, legs shaking slightly.
Two humans pushed through the flora, coming into full view.
