The first thing Catra notices is just how tall this beautiful stranger is and then the soft golden hair tied into a messy ponytail, a set of glimmering diamond eyes shining in the moonlight. Her chiselled face is bare with no makeup but she certainly doesn't need it, GOD. A long fluffy red cardigan hugs thick biceps larger than Catra’s head.
She turns towards Catra and smiles so beautiful and warm that Catra can barely stand. Catra has become what Sparkles would call “ A desperate simp”.
“Hey, Cat. it's nice to see you.”
Catra knows those eyes, those crooked teeth and especially the scar on her cheek.

"You came to the game too?" Adora looks happy about it, a small smile playing on her lips. "I was hoping you would."
"Adora, the whole town came to the game."
She leans in close, almost whispering in Catra’s ear, a sharp contrast to their loud surrounding. "Well, the whole town's not you." She can feel her body react to how close Adora feels. It's like they're back in her hallway after they went out for dinner last semester, her mind begging for Adora to make a move.

Catra has yet to pick up her jaw from the footwell, but stomps on the gas nonetheless, narrowly missing some minivan as she pulls onto the street. It takes at least a minute for Catra’s brain to reboot and realise what is happening. Adora is in her car. On her wedding day. Driving away from her wedding. Adora is a runaway bride.
“Holy shit, you’re a runaway bride,” Catra says when she regains the ability to speak.
“I just left my wedding,” Adora says, the implications suddenly dawning on her. “I just left my wedding! Why did I do that!”

Scorpia looks unconvinced.
"Catra, you told me you would rather run into a burning building than tell Adora how you feel. Also, you have near-death experiences all the time." Scorpia delivers a rare eye roll. Catra stands by her statement.

Adora returns her smile, looping her elbow through Catras as she pulls her along through the street with cracks in the pavement, tinges of green edging out from the bland grey of the concrete. “You had me at hey.”
