Sonic y Shadow son dos amigos que viven esforzándose en el país de Steam Mobius, buscando el modo de ganarse la vida formando parte de la clase baja. Pero cuando en sus manos cae una llave conocida como la Reliquia Dorada, ambos erizos se verán involucrados en una batalla entre gente poderosa cuyo propósito es la obtención de dicho objeto. Ahora, tendrán que encontrar la manera de salvar a Steam Mobius de la guerra que se avecina debido a la Reliquia Dorada y a sobrevivir a todo el caos en el que se han envuelto... o del que ya eran partícipes desde antes de saberlo.

Knuckles knew Silver as a strong independent hyper little brat, not the timid , quiet, emotional train-wreck he knew now. Seeing his 'nephew' have a panic attack from being touched on the cheek made him so uneasy.
