Adora felt particularly lucky. After all, she had everything she could want. She had a job she loved, and she was in pretty good shape for someone in her late thirties. On top of all that, she was the mother of two wonderful teenagers. Some days were challenging as a single mother, of course, but she had nothing to complain about.
However, her life was turned upside down when someone called, claiming to be the biological mother of her adopted children. The awful woman who had abandoned them at birth.
Among the hundreds of nightmarish scenarios running through Adora's mind at that moment, she would certainly never have expected to fall in love with this woman.

Catra begins her first year of college ready for a fresh start. On the other side of the country away from home on a scholarship, she has the chance to become everything she’s ever wanted, and never been able to be. If only her roommate wasn’t so annoying, and if only her friend wasn’t so attractive.
Adora couldn’t tell you what it feels like to work hard. Everything she’s ever done, 4.0 GPA, sports scholarship, star player on BMU’s girls soccer team has been effortless.
Though Glimmers roommate, seemingly volatile, fascinates her. And talking to her certainly isn’t easy. She’s never met someone like her, and is convinced she won’t again. Can that mean nothing?College AU, since we all need a pick me up sometimes. (I’m talking about myself I wrote this for me)

Force Commander Catra, the greatest military leader the Horde has seen in decades, the architect of a dozen campaigns of conquest, is dead. The Princess Alliance, more importantly She-Ra, has to decide how to react to this development in their war. On one hand, the Horde just lost what may have been their greatest asset, the person almost solely responsible for their rapid advance across the continent. On the other hand, Adora is faced with her reopened wounds, and the prospect of a future without her former best friend.
She would never let herself dream that halfway across the continent that same Magicat is waking up to a new future of her own. A struggle for survival, and a journey to find some kind of peace with who she is and what she's done.

After much deliberating (And some bullying from a certain someone. You know who you are. I know you're reading this!) I've decided to upload my very first fanfic. Originally, this was never supposed to see the outside of my computer, but screw it, time to put myself out there!
Have you ever asked, "What would happen if unfreezing the Whispering Woods wasn't so easy, and the rebellion continued to be assaulted by the Horde? Oh yeah, and if there was also another princess who inspires... diverse opinions in the main cast?" No? Just me? Oh well, I wrote something about it anyway.

Summary
Adora and Catra both play for one of the top professional soccer teams in the world FC Horde. They joined the team's academy team when they were thirteen and eventually signed professionally when they were seventeen. Over the course of three and a half seasons, they've worked their way up to the bench and earning sporadic minutes on the field.
After Adora plays well against the Horde's bitter rivals the Bright Moon Alliance, she suddenly finds herself as the new "face of the team" and possibly the Eternian National Team as well. Unfortunately, after sustaining an injury, her career may be in jeopardy. Doubtful that she will return, she is transferred to Bright Moon.
(Or a professional soccer AU that is about more than just soccer! Basically a slice-of-life modern AU that is happens to occur in a world where both Adora and Catra are professional soccer players. Do not worry if you don't understand soccer, I will put general terms and stuff in the author's notes!)
