As Adora looks out from the highest point in Brightmoon Castle, she doesn't see the sunlight glinting off of the ocean waves. She doesn't hear the chattering of the citizens below her going about their day. All she can sense are the ghosts of her past, and the whisper of a promise long broken.
Force Commander Catra, the greatest military leader the Horde has seen in decades, the architect of a dozen campaigns of conquest, is dead. The Princess Alliance, more importantly She-Ra, has to decide how to react to this development in their war. On one hand, the Horde just lost what may have been their greatest asset, the person almost solely responsible for their rapid advance across the continent. On the other hand, Adora is faced with her reopened wounds, and the prospect of a future without her former best friend.
She would never let herself dream that halfway across the continent that same Magicat is waking up to a new future of her own. A struggle for survival, and a journey to find some kind of peace with who she is and what she's done.

Last ch 17
Left off with Mila running back to town, and catra fighting some magicats who used magic to uncover a different entrance. The magicats are apparently escorting people, but they left the people behind in a safe location to check the area. I'm guessing they were gonna use Ainar to hide a bit before moving on. But it's sorta occupied. Not by much and it is continuously stated the have lots of spare houses. So when they stop fighting I assume the people they're escorting will stay there for at least a while. There is a language barrier right now though.
Adora is researching anything she can about magicats, cause despite everyone telling her Catra is dead she doesn't want to believe it. She's going to end the war in Catra's honor basically.
They were already romantically involved before she left.Partners in the horde is something different since the can't show emotions or attachment. Partners prove they're stronger together than apart, they learn each other movements and it's like a secret language. All to stay together and hide how much they care.
Catra is using the name C'yra because she found it on old documents in the abandoned magicat town of Ainar. Real C'yra was like the high chief of magicats towards the beginning of the war, had yellow hair and eyes I think? Her partner sevas had brown fur and hetrochromia with green and blue. Or something like that didn't make the note till I reached the end but anyways they might be catra's relatives if the focus on similarities in a photo meant anything. They were friends with King Micah. -

“You kissed me.” Those three words coming from Adora’s mouth should sound perfect, after all the yearning Catra’s felt, but Adora’s voice was too distraught for Catra to feel warmth.
“I’m pregnant,” Catra revealed, watching Adora’s face crumple.
“You kissed me,” Adora repeated, this time bitterly. Catra’s heart sank as Adora’s eyes watered and her eyebrows furrowed, “you kissed me, whilst I have a girlfriend and you’re pregnant.” Catra opened her mouth but she was speechless. Slowly, she hugged herself, teary eyes, “I’m going.” Adora stormed toward the exit. Catra went to speak when Adora turned around, and suddenly Catra shrunk under Adora's stare. For just a moment, Adora’s eyes softened, the gaze that Catra loved returning, before her stare hardened. Catra blinked tears down her cheeks, trailing from her jaw to the floor.
“I’m sorry,” Catra said, and Adora walked out.
