As the newest detective at the DPD, you're nervous. You've done this job for a few years, but always got anxious in new places. You know a few people from different crime scenes and everything, but it was still scary.
Sleep deprived, jet-lagged and anxious as hell, you meet Lieutenant Anderson and his partner Connor. You don't really know what to make of them at first, but you warm up to them as time goes on, becoming close with the two.
(I have never done a Detroit fiction before, kinda nervous, I don't really know what I'm doing but when I told my friend I was planning on doing some stories for this fandom, they asked for some reader/character and Connor is my boy so I picked him... I'll probably end up doing some other fictions for this series - plus other David Cage games because I love them so much)

After the android revolution and the evacuation of Detroit, Jericho struggles to negotiate with an aloof U.S. Government, as Connor comes to terms with his past and purpose.
Crime spikes in the all-but-abandoned city, and the DPD must send their forces to investigate a string of murders as a new population desperate for justice emerges on humanity’s horizon.

In this sick, cruel world there was no returning if people didn’t care about you. If people don’t even know you’re missing or if they don’t even know who you are, you’re as good as gone, dead, or -- like these days -- it’s as if you never existed.
Androids fighting for their freedom was one problem, human activists with pro-android sentiments breaking the laws to find their kin was another. The Detroit Police Department’s resources were spread thin. While their infamous android detective was tasked with hunting deviants, you, one of the greatest experts in missing persons cases, were tasked with finding these missing activists.

Summary
In an alternate Universe, Beth Anderson along with her father, Hank Anderson, were born as androids. While Connor was born as a human, and has a twin brother named, Richard, but who is nicknamed Nines.
Connor is a detective at the DPD, known for his sympathy towards androids, but his brother Nines, on the other hand, hates androids. Nines started hating androids after the death, of Cole, Connor's and his little brother.
Beth was a prototype Traci, the BA800, at the Eden Club, who was badly damaged, and deviated as a result, but she was repaired, and someone helped her to escape. Hank on the other hand, is the newest prototype for Cyberlife, the RK800, who is programmed to hunt deviants.
•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•°•Will Hank accomplish his mission, or will he become a deviant himself? Will he see past his mission, and realize that all androids, including himself, are alive, or will he stay the mindless machine, that he was supposedly programmed to be?
*This will have a lot more violence than "Just a Machine", as well as more possibly triggering scenes for people. I'll give warnings for chapters, even for things as simple as cussing.*
