The night before their Winter Wedding, Miss Jemima Simmons and Mister Leopold Fitz had planned to engage in the jolly traditions of their time, enjoying lofty plans of a Hen-Do and a Stag Night with their respective friends. Mr. Fitz's, as is tradition's (and his good friend Mr. Hunter's) wont involved dens of opium, iniquity, gambling, and loose women.
Miss Jemima Simmons', much to her dismay, involved ice-skating, chaperones, and a night without her beloved's bottom to squeeze. She was fond of none of those things.
Luckily however, she is fond of a delightful concoction, brought by her lovely friend, Miss Daisy Coulson, of Jamaican Rum and hot cocoa, and she had drank it liberally.
