He heard a sharp intake of breath next to him. Phainon looked to his right, where Mydeimos was watching the Jellies with adept attention. His eyes, locked onto the fishes’ dance, seemed to be sparkling; his mouth slightly agape as white light emerged from the water. He looked as though he was witnessing magic, which Phainon could only assume this must be like for him-such mesmerizing displays could only be seen in animals’ natural environments, away from cities like Okhema.
“They’re beautiful,” he said.
The Summer Night sky was dark, and the only illumination came from the jellyfish and the Fisherman’s Shop’s flickering outdoor lights. Phainon didn’t know when his focus had shifted from the Moonlight Jellies’ Dance, but he noticed in the faint glow how pretty Mydeimos’ eyelashes were; he watched the other man aptly as he marveled at the spectacle, smiling at his enthusiasm and awe.
“Aren’t they?” Phainon breathed out, his blue eyes still fixated on Mydeimos.

Phainon’s voice would sooner break into something dark and shaking, his control shredded. “…You really want that, Mydei? Then say it again. Look me in the eyes and tell me you want all of me, because once I give in… I won’t be able to stop.”
Mydei does exactly that, his hand clamps around the fine hairs as goosebumps rise on his lover’s nape, fingers digging in just enough to pull him down impossibly close into the thick cloud of his overwhelming scent. Phainon drowns in that scent flooding his head, stripping away whatever scraps of reasoning he had left.
“I want you,” he whimpered, “Every bit of you... fill me... pump your children in me, Deliverer... make me yours.”
In which, the noble alpha’s rut called to him like a moth to a flame, and Mydei didn’t hesitate to show up. He came, dripping and needy, hands and mouth following instinct, ready to be used, stuffed, and utterly claimed, every inch aching to carry the alpha’s seed.

In this liminal space between wakefulness and slumber, Phainon presses his lips against Mydei’s skin, raising gooseflesh as they trail lower. In desperation, the mighty kingdom called for an armistice—not merely a ceasefire, but a resolution to end the conflict altogether. They proposed an alliance between their kingdoms. News of this spread throughout Amphoreus overnight. Two of the strongest kingdoms were forming an alliance that would significantly alter the course of history. An agreement of blood needed to be established between the two kingdoms. Castrum Kremnos was required to offer up a bride from their royal family to be married to another royal family member in Ohkema.
Phainon, a collateral member of the royal family adopted from the fallen Aedes Elysiae territory, was tasked with selecting the bride. His choice shocked the entire world: he chose not from the offered brides but instead pointed to Mydeimos, the crown prince of Castrum Kremnos.
