Upon her return, she must deal with serious understaffing of her department and the board's decision to place inexperienced staff from other departments on the floor of the ER until a more permanent solution can be found.
Emma Swan was working her way up the ranks in the Diagnostic Department, aiming to one day be the head of the department, when she was pulled from Diagnostics and placed in the ER. She is out of her depth and in over her head since her single rotation in the ER did not leave her prepared, and soon finds that the for the fast-paced and unpredictability of the ER messes severely with her ADHS.
