Summary
Sometimes, prince Tommy wished he could disappear. He couldn’t stand the way people looked at him, like they could only see a political pawn to gain control over Flower Fall, a symbol of avian dominance in their mixed-origin country, a nubile prize to marry into nobility, a boy.
But once Techno gave him an invisibility potion, Tommy could vanish at any time! No one could look at him wrong if they couldn’t see him, right? Suddenly, Tommy didn’t have a care in the world…aside from the implication his brother wanted him to disappear.
For adopted crown prince Techno, all he wanted was to be seen. As a useful propaganda prop, sure, but the flashier a target he made, the safer Tommy would be. Nothing more than a decoy prince to draw the assassins away from the real royal family. For as much as they loved each other, Techno knew his family wanted him to disappear. And if the many assassins didn’t manage to take him out, his parents would ensure it themselves.
But that was fine. Techno would sacrifice his life for Tommy, the phantom of his protection to forever remain always at his side, never in his sight.

Summary
In the midst of chaos, Tommy will always find the opportunity to make it worse. That’s something that Techno has learned the longer he travels with these two strange men.
He has to be thankful, of course. He was a little runt of a Piglin, stuck in a Bastion that didn’t really want him, half-starved and ill with rot. And yet, Phil picked him up out the Nethervoid without so much as a second thought. So, of course, Techno had to be thankful.
He could still be a little annoyed when Tommy made hard things worse.

Summary
Philza was used to visiting alien cities, and while he often didn't know about the festivals that they were throwing, he knew that his crew enjoyed participating in those festivals when they had a chance.
When one crowd turns into an all-out brawl, Phil tries to step in and stop the fight. Unfortunately for him, it may not have been as random of a fight as he'd thought. This just leads Phil to participating in a ceremony that he hadn't intended to, ultimately leading to more than he'd bargained for.
While Phil didn't know a lot about aliens, he was about to when it turned out the fight was actually a ceremonial duel for a particular Piglin's hand in marriage.

Techno’s heart lurched when he found him. He’d known Phil had had a bad time on this last mission, that was why he’d come after him in the first place-- Phil not reporting in was kind of a bad sign– but he’d looked for him in the med bay first, not in the far reaches of the Antarctic Stronghold. Some of the hallways Techno had come down to get here had been so dusty he could still see mob tracks, undisturbed since the original settlement.
Philza’s bright yellow hair was growing in a different color at the roots, paler blond like sunlight over an open sea. When he finally looked up at Techno, his eyes were shifting too, acquiring a brighter shade of blue, the structure of his face subtly altered.

“I don’t give a fuck about stealing.” Tommy shrugged. “I don’t care if I get arrested.”
It wasn’t entirely true. Tommy didn’t want to get arrested and he didn’t want to be trapped in a jail cell for the foreseeable future. However, aside from getting arrested, he didn’t care about stealing. His morals did not give a fuck about robbing people.
“Well, I care, okay?” Techno pointed out. “I have a deal for you, if you willing to hear me out.”
Tommy narrowed his eyes. This didn’t sound especially good. “What’s the deal?”
“I’ll buy you a meal every day if you don’t continue robbin’ people.” Techno proposed. “You’d just have to meet me outside this restaurant, around lunch time. That’s all.”

Tommy is a street kid, surviving off stealing from other people. One day, he decides to rob the wrong person, Techno, who instead of getting angry at catching Tommy stealing, offers him a deal.
Slowly, the two of them become friends, and even family. Although, Tommy does make the incorrect assumption that Techno is royalty. When in fact, he’s just rich.
