Cooking, Gardening, Writing, Star-Making… It's just Jake's shitty luck that he hasn't found anything that rings true for himself, yet.
Unfortunately for Dirk (all-suffering best friend, bodyguard, and madly in love with this idiot,) it doesn't seem like there are any limits to what Jake might attempt in a search to find his calling.
Including unspeakable magic, and a pet tentacle plant.

Geralt hums, then opens the door. “Come here, I want to get a good look at you. I’ve never seen a real fairy before.” He says, backing up to let Jaskier out. “I’m not going to hurt you, I promise. We’ll treat you right, we just need you to make that dust for us.” He adds, sitting down in a plush chair behind the wooden desk.
The captain pats his knee and Jaskier has no idea why, but he complies and follows Geralt. He stands next to the desk hesitantly, his hands clasped behind his back. There’s no way he’s going to nuzzle up to the man who just bardnapped him.
“Oh c’mon, you can come closer than that. I won’t bite… unless you want me to.” Geralt says, winking at Jaskier before grabbing his slim bicep and pulling him closer. He sits the smaller man down on his lap and studies his face now that the gap between them is closed.

Summary
With life, there is death. The Outerlands are ruled by a powerful king named Everlance, who stayed out of touch with Pixie Hollow for many years. When King Everlance dies from unknown causes, his heir, Prince Thresh, feels weak, alone, angered and confused from the sudden kingship. To hide his emotions, Thresh vows to take over all of Pixie Hollow and to become the ultimate overlord, targeting Lord Milori first. Thresh's mindset changes to violent as Milori refuses to hand over his land to Thresh, and Lord Milori vanishes without a trace leaving Queen Clarion worried. Her problems worsen as Pixie Hollow becomes the next target, leaving Tinkerbell and her friends to find Lord Milori and stop what is destroying Pixie Hollow.

He’s the only star-counting talent in Spring – there’s a few in Winter and their chief in the tree, but Tooru has been alone in this observatory on the top of the tallest sycamore since he arrived at Pixie Hollow over a century ago. Sometimes other fairies would flit by his window going to and from their daily activities as he was falling asleep in the morning or waking up at night, but the nocturnal schedule required for his talent meant he was out of commission during the high points of the day. But he was fine with that. Other pixies were loud and annoying.
Rare talents like his don’t get lonely.
