“Come on, you guys, let’s go!” Marcy spun around joyfully to greet their friends, wrapping their warm arms around, first Sasha, then Anne. The sparkle in their eye was the same as always. Anne smiled and laughed as she grabbed their friend by the hand as the trio raced down the pathway.
“So, I recently moved up to the next level of Creatures and Caverns, and I thought I’d let you guys know. So, first off I really like the new level because the jump function is a lot smoother, I’ve noticed. Plus, the dragons you had to pay for come with a discount but that’s probably my new membership. A bit grossed out by it, sure, but she could alway deal with the small injuries she got by herself, and she could watch death scenes in movies, but now, staring at her palm, all she can think is Marcy is dead Marcy is dead- “Anne?” A tired voice asks, and she swallows thickly. “Are you alright? We heard something from the other room.” Is she fine? She has to be fine. If she’s not fine she’ll never get the Plantars home, or stop Andrias, or...or find Sasha and Marcy. She nods shakily but doesn’t rise to her feet.
