Audrey gapes at the sheathed knife, blinking rapidly before closing her dorm room door. She takes the knife out, looking over it. Despite the rapid beating of her heart, it is quite beautiful in a sort of deadly way. The blade is sharp, a dark type of metal, the handle wrapped in a rich blue with deep purple designs woven into the material. Where the handle and the blade connects, there’s a singular small, pink gem on either side.
She knows exactly who it’s from.
Oh god, Audrey thinks with no small amount of horror, they’re going to kill me in my sleep.

OR,Audrey thinks Ben is absolutely nuts to bring VK’s over to Auradon, but she supports him just like any good best friend does. Things get a little out of hand when she meets the Evil Queen and Maleficent’s daughters, who she’s sure is trying to kill her.
Meanwhile, Mal and Evie have their eyes set on Prince Ben’s best friend, who turns out to not actually be his girlfriend. They, of course, go about to show their interest, though they’re not quite sure why Audrey always looks like she’s expecting them to stab her in the kidney.

Carlos de Vil was nine when they told him he wasn't allowed to talk to his other friends. He was nine when he had to resort to writing notes so his other friends wouldn't think he hated them.
Carlos de Vil was 13 when he finally got his escape. Mal, Jay and Evie were invited to Auradon. Sure, they planned on taking over, but Carlos doubted they'd actually go through with it. He was 13 when things finally started looking up.
Carlos de Vil was 13 and 1/2 when it all came crashing down. Mal, Jay and Evie went through on their promise, and took over Auradon, and the rest of the world. He was 13 and 1/2 when he ran from the Isle of the Lost with his friends on a ship headed to nowhere

Summary
In her mind, Mal was just slowly dying, like everyone else on the Isle. Even if the weird symptoms got worse every time she looked at Uma. Even if she ached without any idea what she was aching for. Even if she felt something warm and soft settle in her every time she looked at Evie and Carlos (closer than anyone else in their crew, practically inseparable now) like she was some Auradon hero instead of the Queen of Evil's daughter. So, sometimes she gets all tingly seeing Uma, Harry and Gil together. But she pushes those thoughts as far away as possible, never allowing herself to look further into her feelings for fear of what she would find there. She felt them, that much she could acknowledge, but trying to understand them never even crossed her mind.
Until Uma kissed her.
Or
Mal has weird feelings for her friends. Thankfully, they have weird feelings for her too. Now, if only they could communicate that.

People who...really need to hide those animal ears, when they're in public.
Uma, Harry, Gil, Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay are from another world. A world of cat-people and rabbit-people. But they've been sent to the human world, and now they're Ben's problem.
