That restless night, even once Valerie was safe in her bed, she was left tossing and turning with confusion and frustration. By the time dim light began streaming through her window, Valerie had decided to settle on a decision.
She was going to figure out the whole situation with Vlad Masters. And she was going to enlist Phantom to do it.

Sam purses his lips, wiping down the needle before dropping it in a jar of vodka. “It’s not a big deal,” he mumbles as he wipes his hands off on his jeans, “something I just picked up, I guess.”

“Now, there’s a sight for sore eyes,” he hummed, leaning his shoulder against the doorway. “You been working on your squats, Roy-o?”
Two things happened simultaneously.
Gil popped back up, turning to look at Jamie with wide eyes, and Roy shattered the glass he’d been holding.
